FLSA Overtime Rule Change - Are you one of the 4.2 million workers affected by the new provisions?

This presentation will provide an overview of the Fair Labor Standards Act with a special focus on the overtime provisions and the changes that are scheduled to go into effect December 1, 2016.
Attendees will learn about the necessary conditions required to exempt positions from the overtime provision and several ways to accommodate the changes that organizations will need to consider in order to comply with the new salary requirements.
Brian is an assistant professor in the Management Department of the College of Business of Tarleton State University where he teaches courses in compensation, labor relations, human resource management, and international business.
He received a PhD in business administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, an MBA from the American University in Cairo, and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
He has worked as an HR Director at Cornell University, the Assistant Director of Employment an Employee Relations at Ithaca College, and as the founding CEO of two organizations, a nonprofit theater company and a multi-branch tax service firm. He lives is Arlington Texas and teaches courses for TSU in Stephenville and Fort Worth.
