Earning and Keeping Your

HR Professional Certification - Update!

This presentation will cover the HR professional certification processes for both the HRCI PHR/SPHR and the SHRM-CP/SCP certifications including changes made in 2017.

Topics covered include:

Professional qualifications required
Exam dates and fees
HR Body of Knowledge covered in exams
Exam format and sample questions
Exam preparation tips and methods
Maintaining your credentials through certification

Attendees will be able to test their HR knowledge and learn about their strengths and areas to focus on if planning on sitting for either the PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification exam.

The session will also provide an overview of the Exam Preparation Study Group sponsored by CT SHRM and the TSU Department of Management that begins January 16^th.

The session will be led by Dr. Brian Martinson, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, from the Tarleton State University Department of Management.
