Presented by

Barry Parks

In response to the number of large-scale data breaches that have been in the news lately, the focus of this presentation will be on how you can protect yourself and your employees from identity theft, while protecting your company from a data breach.

The presenter will discuss the main types of identity theft that go far beyond the well-known financial identity theft and will reveal some of the tactics that criminals are using to take advantage of us on an individual basis, as well as on the corporate level.  The presenter will discuss the most common causes of data breeches in companies and how to avoid them.  Finally, the presentation will look at the role HR plays in detecting data breeches early, and what can be done to help protect employees as well as the company from the various forms of identity theft.
