Avoiding the Top 3 Employment Law Risks

Kacie Byrd

We welcome employment law expert Kacie Byrd* to discuss risks employers make and how to avoid them. The top three are:

Mishandling FLSA issues
Misclassifying employees as independent contractors
Failing to recognize discrimination issues

Kacie Byrd is an associate at Decker Jones, P.C., a full-service law firm located in Fort Worth. Kacie has experience representing a variety of businesses and governmental entities in legal matters, including labor and employment, real estate, and business law. Kacie graduated with honors from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University. She also holds a Masters of Public Affairs (MPA) from the University of Texas at Dallas. Kacie lives in Fort Worth with her husband Jacob, a City of Dallas fire lieutenant.
